The objective of the Lake County Stallions is to provide an organized football and cheer program for grade school children in the Village of Mundelein, Fremont Township area, Wauconda, Vernon Hills, Grayslake, Hawthorn Woods, and surrounding towns.
Our Cheerleading program is broken down by age and grade, Kindergarten thru 8th grade. All athletes, boys and girls ages 5 through 14 (grades KG thru 8th), are eligible to participate in the Cheer program with the exception of those who have graduated from eighth grade or turn age 15 prior to September 1 of the current year. The team composition changes from year to year, depending on enrollment figures. Teams for 2023 will depend on enrollment numbers at each grade.
This registration session will allow you to sign consents, complete contact information and submit payment. To successfully complete registration through our secure site, please have your Visa, MasterCard or Discover account information available.
*If you are new to the Stallions Cheer Program, you will need to attach a photo or pdf file of your cheerleader's birth certificate.
**Please note: The 5th grade team is now full.
If you would like to be added to a waitlist, please contact lcscheerdirector@gmail.com.
**Cheer and Football registration are now separate. If you have children registering for both Cheer and Football, please contact lcstallionstreasurer@gmail.com for promo codes for the multi-child discount.
FAMILY DISCOUNT:
If you are registering more than one child for the cheer season, you will receive a discount on the second (and third and fourth, if applicable) child's registration fee (see chart below). In order for the registration system to recognize that your family is registering multiple cheerleaders, please register all of your children at this time AND answer the questions on the registration Information page carefully and accurately. Failure to do so may result in a forfeiture of your family's discounted rates.
Please review the attached link below outlining our important dates for our 2023 season. It is important that you mark these dates in your calendars now to avoid conflicts later.
All choreography dates are subject to change! While we are hopeful it will not, at this time we can not guarantee! Please attempt to keep all weekend dates open.
We are in process of selecting competition dates with ICA, but will not have final dates until June. However, we WILL be attending a competition the weekend before Thanksgiving- November 18th OR 19th. This competition is the only for the numbers competition, meaning we get a bid to State based on points, not needing to get 1st place. This directly affects our 4th-8th grade teams.
We wanted to get this information out so that holiday travel can be arranged accordingly. We will know if we compete on Saturday, Nov 18th OR Sunday, Nov. 19th in June.
We are not thrilled by this only option, but thank you for understanding.
Please note: this chart is for reference and planning purposes and subject to change as registration opens and teams are planned.
Q: Why are fees higher this year than last year?
A: We have included all extra fun money fees that in the past were requested at the beginning of the season. This fun money covers competition gifts, end of year party, etc. No other money will be requested for the duration of the season.
Q: Besides the cheer uniform, what else are we required to purchase?
A: You will be required to purchase competition shoes, practice shoes, and solid black leggings.
Q: Is there a payment plan?
A: Yes, there is a payment plan option available for the registration fee and volunteer opt-out fees ONLY. The uniform must be paid in full at time of registration or at a fitting event. If you choose to opt out of fundraising, you must pay the opt out fee in full at time of registration.
Q: Will face masks be worn at practices and competitions?
A: At this time, face masks are not required. Face masks will be required at competitions if the facility mandates it. This is not an ICA mandate and we can not hold them accountable for rules put forth by the state or schools. We will continue to follow the ruling of the facilities in which we practice and compete and the CDC/IDPH guidelines. With all things COVID related, restrictions and guidelines may change throughout the season.
Q: Is there a multi-child discount if you have a sibling in Football?
A: Yes. You can receive a discount code by emailing our treasurer at:
lcstallionstreasurer@gmail.com

A: Typically around the third weekend in August.
Q: What is the age range for cheer?
A: Enrolled in K - 8th Grade during the 2023-2024 school year.
Q: Do I need to volunteer?
A: Yes, all parents are required to volunteer at least four hours per child, to a maximum of eight hours per family.
