SportsEngine Registration: Lake County Stallions

2022 Cheer Registration

Welcome to the 2022 Cheer Registration!

The objective of the Lake County Stallions is to provide an organized football and cheer program for grade school children in the Village of Mundelein, Fremont Township area, Wauconda, Vernon Hills, Grayslake, Hawthorn Woods, and surrounding towns.

Our Cheerleading program is broken down by age and grade, Kindergarten thru 8th grade. All athletes, boys and girls ages 5 through 14 (grades KG thru 8th), are eligible to participate in the Cheer program with the exception of those who have graduated from eighth grade or turn age 15 prior to September 1 of the current year.   The team composition changes from year to year, depending on enrollment figures. Teams for 2022 will depend on enrollment numbers at each grade.

This registration session will allow you to sign consents, complete contact information and submit payment.  To complete registration through our secure site, please have your Visa, MasterCard or Discover account information available.

** Our 4th grade team is now full. Please email our Cheer Director, Christina Newsom, at to get on a waitlist.

Failure to do so may result in a forfeiture of your family's discounted rates.

**Cheer and Football registration are now separate.  If you have children registering for both Cheer and Football, please contact for promo codes for the multi-child discount.

We are in process of selecting competition dates with ICA, but will not have final dates until June. However, we WILL be attending a competition the weekend before Thanksgiving- November 19th or 20th. This competition is the only for the numbers competition, meaning we get a bid to State based on points, not needing to get 1st place. This directly affects our 4th-8th grade teams.

We wanted to get this information out so that holiday travel can be arranged accordingly. We will know if we compete on Saturday, Nov 19th OR Sunday, Nov. 20th in June.

We are not thrilled by this only option, but thank you for understanding.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why are fees more expensive this year than in past years?
A: The registration fees are increased due to the ICA increases in Competition and State fees. On the upside, the ICA will not charge entry fees at competitions.

Q:  Besides the cheer uniform, what else are we required to purchase?
A:  You will be required to purchase competition shoes, practice shoes, face mask (if still required) and solid black leggings.

Q: Is there a payment plan?
A: Yes, there is a payment plan option available for the registration fee ONLY. The uniform must be paid in full at time of registration, at a fitting event or you can opt to fundraise. If you choose to opt out of volunteering and/or fundraising, you must pay the opt out fee in full at time of registration.

Q: Will face masks be worn at practices and competitions?
A: At this time, yes masks will be worn at all times. Face masks will be required at competitions if the facility mandates it. This is not an ICA mandate and we can not hold them accountable for rules put forth by the state or schools. However, same as 2021, athletes will remove them to compete. We will continue to follow the ruling of the facilities in which we practice and compete. With all things COVID related, restrictions and guidelines may change throughout the season.

Q: Is there a multi-child discount if you have a sibling in Football?
A: Yes. You can receive a discount code by emailing our treasurer at:

Q:  Where and when are practices?
A:  Cheer practice begins the week of July 18th. Summer practices will be held outdoors at a location TBD. Indoor practices will begin mid-August and held at Fremont Intermediate School.

Q:  When does sideline cheer for football games begin?
A:  Typically around the third weekend in August.

Q:  What is the age range for cheer?
A:  Enrolled in K - 8th Grade during the 2022-2023 school year.

Q:  Do I need to volunteer?
A:  Yes, all parents are required to volunteer at least four hours per child, to a maximum of eight hours per family. Failure to complete required volunteer hours by November 1st, will result in a $400 penalty to be charged via credit card at the completion of the season. Registration for the following season will be prohibited until all previous fees/penalties are paid in full.
